   Rain central Europe and Mediterranean, drier in the west

   Monday
   Dry and sunny for much of Spain and Portugal, but showery rain affects
   the north coast. Scattered showers for the Balearics. Thundery
   downpours transfer eastwards over Corsica, Sardinia and northern Italy.
   Some sustained heavy rain north Italy into the Alps through the day,
   extending through Switzerland and western Austria, drier to the east
   and into Hungary. Warm sunshine and extensively dry from the south of
   Italy to the Balkans, Greece, Turkiye and around the Black Sea.
   Areas of heavy rain for southern France, drier to the north, but local
   showers near the English Channel. Breezy and cool for the Low Countries
   with brief showers. Rain affects the southeast of Germany and into
   Czechia, heavy particularly in the morning. Dry but cool for north and
   western Germany.
   Breezy for Denmark. Milder for Poland with patchy light rain. Chilly
   north to northwesterly winds for Scandinavia, frequent showers in
   Norway and Finland. Drier for much of Sweden and southeast Norway.

   Tuesday
   Fair for Spain and Portugal today with lots of sunshine. Heavy showers
   affecting the Balearics and some of these could be heavy. Further
   heavy, thundery rain in Sardinia and Corsica with this extending to
   northern and western areas of Italy. Southern and eastern Italy will be
   dry and sunny. Greece and Turkey should be fair with more sunshine to
   come here.
   Rain in central and northern France but dry in the south. More cloud
   and some patchy rain for the Low Countries. Germany and Poland should
   be fair with more sunshine. Coud and a few showers in Hungary and
   Austria. Heavier and thundery rain in the west of Austria and
   Switzerland.
   Sunshine and dry in Denmark through today. Showers for the Baltic
   States and Finland, some of them wintry. Southern Sweden and southern
   Norway will be fine with lots of sunshine. Frequent showers, some of
   them heavy and wintry as well as prolonged, and cold as well.
