   Europe forecast - October 26, 2025
   Strong north continent winds
   Wet for most

   Issued: 0530hrs Sunday 26th October 2025
   Duty forecaster: Dan Graves

Improving near the Mediterranean on Monday as low pressure clears to
   the east for decent sunshine.

   Sunday
Heavy showers over southern Portugal and Spain. Dry and sunny central
areas, some showers in northern Spain. A rather cloudy day with
outbreaks of heavy rain for the Balearics, and on a lesser extent over
Sardinia and Corsica. Scattered showers for Italy, a few heavy in the
south. Frequent heavy rain across the Balkan States, particularly in
the south late in the day, these drifting into Bulgaria and Romania.
Heavy showers in western Greece, drier east and sunny, as well as for
   T├╝rkiye and Cyprus.
Scattered showers for France, but a longer spell of rain for the
British Isles. A showery day for the Low Countries and northern Germany
with strong westerly winds, risk gale force near the coasts. Some snow
may fall on high ground. A cool day in Germany and Czechia, scattered
showers and good sunny spells for Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary.
Several outbreaks of rain will spread east over Poland. Rather cloudy
for Switzerland and western Austria with outbreaks of rain, and snow on
   the mountains.
Showers and broader areas of rain across Scandinavia with wintery
precipitation over high ground. Only local sunny spells in central and
southern parts of Norway and Sweden. Several outbreaks of rain pass
southwest-to-northeast across the Baltic States with heavy bursts.

   Monday
Sunny for much of Iberia, showers to the south. Mostly sunny across the
central Mediterranean with a few light afternoon showers in Sardinia
and Corsica. Fine and sunny in Italy with a few showers south, though
the northern mountains will see substantial snow. Heavy rain around and
before dawn over the southern Balkans and Greece, clearing east for
mostly sunny conditions. Some rain will linger in northwest T├╝rkiye,
   otherwise sunny here.
Strong westerly winds persist on the continent north of the Alps with a
risk of gales onto the North Sea coast. Cool temperatures are likely
from Germany eastward, though more mild in Ukraine and Romania. A broad
area of rain in northern France and locally heavy east, more showery
south. This heavy rain pushes into Switzerland and Austria, falling as
heavy snow in the mountains. Frequent showers in the Low Countries and
Germany, these pushing east into Poland, Czechia, and Slovakia. Drier
with sunny spells for a time in Hungary, rain then arriving here too.
Rain clearing east in Romania and Bulgaria for periods of sunshine.
Showers remain ubiquitous across Scandinavia. Broader areas of rain
will drift around northern Sweden and the Baltics with snow on higher
   ground.
