   Fine western Europe

   Duty forecaster: Dan Graves

   High pressure over western Europe and low pressure east gives settled
   and unsettled conditions, respectively. Trending unsettled as well in
   Scandinavia with the arrival of a new low pressure system.

   Monday
   Fine and sunny across Iberia, just some showers in southeast Spain.
   Some morning showers over the Balearics clearing for sunshine. Sunny
   over Sardinia and Corsica. Sunny too for Italy, though a notable
   northerly wind in the Adriatic Sea will blow onto southern parts of the
   east coasts, brining some light showers. Few showers with sunny spells
   in the northern Baltics, rain more widespread to the south and into
   Greece where heavy/thundery spells are likely in the south. Later in
   the day, risk of thunderstorms rises in northeast Greece. Remaining
   sunny in T├╝rkiye until rain arrives from the west late in the day.
   A dry day in France though cloudy in the north and into the Low
   Countries in the morning, some light rain in the Netherlands. Showery
   rain fairly widely in Germany extending east into Austria, Czechia,
   Poland, and Slovakia - notable westerly winds across these areas. Some
   scattered showers in Hungary but plenty of bright weather. Some rain in
   Romania, more widely in Bulgaria becoming heavy with a risk of
   thunderstorms in the south as the day goes. Scattered rain in central
   and west Ukraine, drier east.
   Brisk westerlies continue over Denmark with cloud and some rain.
   Morning rain in north Scandinavia breaks into odd patchy spots,
   followed by rain arriving into southwest Norway. Mostly dry in Sweden
   and often bright. Cloudy in Finland with showers along the southern
   coast, these extending into Estonia. Mostly dry with sunny spells for
   Lithuania and Latvia.

   Tuesday
   Dry and fine for Iberia, some cloud in the north. Similar conditions
   across the central Mediterranean islands with some cloud coming and
   going. Dry and bright too for Italy with showers lingering in the
   southeast, good sunshine between showers. Dry with sunny spells for
   Slovenia and Croatia, showers further south in the Balkans. A mix of
   showers and sun spells in Greece, the showers heaviest east where
   thunder may occur. Widely rainy with thundery spells in west T├╝rkiye.
   Dry an mostly sunny for France and Switzerland. Some cloud in north
   France, this extending over the Low Countries. Cloud too in Germany
   with morning rain in central and eastern areas, easing for most except
   in the northeast. This rain extends to the mountains of Austria where
   it will be showery most of the day. Morning patchy rain in south Poland
   and Slovakia, this breaking for sunny spells; mostly fine or Hungary.
   Widely wet in central and east Romania as well as Bulgaria with
   thundery spells towards the Black Sea.
   A band of rain slips east across Scandinavia through the day: Denmark
   and Norway wet in the morning, reaching Sweden afternoon and lingering
   until dark. Remaining cloudy behind the rain, likely showers continue
   into west Norway. Finland stays mostly dry but cloudy, while the Baltic
   States will have sunny spells, some morning showery rain lingering in
   Estonia.
