   Jessica Simpson insists drinking snake sperm helps her vocals.

   After going viral for revealing her penchant for serpent sludge, the
   "Leave" singer defended her new drink of choice while speaking to a
   paparazzo Sunday.

   "I mean, it just really clears my throat," she explained to TMZ at Los
   Angeles International Airport, adding, "I'm just a great singer when I
   have snake sperm. I can't help it."

   Simpson, 44, shared that the reptilian beverage tastes like "a really dark
   honey."

   When asked whether she would ever be interested in officially endorsing
   the Chinese product, the "Employee of the Month" star joked, "Well, I
   can't even read the bottle, so I don't know how good I would be on some
   infomercial."

   However, Simpson isn't ruling out hawking her own snake sperm brand one
   day.

   "Maybe I'll make my own," she teased. "Maybe, sure. I should do that."

   As for whether she was traveling with the controversial concoction, she
   clarified, "No, I couldn't carry it on the plane."

   The fashion designer first revealed that she consumes the viperous semen
   in an Instagram video posted March 28.

   "They're like, `What are you drinking?' `Cause, you know, it's, like, this
   Chinese herb thing," she said in the clip. "And I'm like, `I don't know.
   My vocal coach told me to drink it.'"

   Simpson said the unnamed person she had been talking to proceeded to
   Google the ingredients, only to find out the supplement contained snake
   sperm.

   "So, if you want a good vocal, you gotta drink snake sperm," she said with
   a laugh.

   Several fans reacted to the pop star's daring drink in the comments
   section of her post.

   "The new Chicken of the Sea moment," one fan wrote, referring to her
   infamous scene from a 2003 episode of "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica."

   "Lol **** hilarious and still so carefree," a second supporter chimed in.

   "Put her back on TV right now lol," another added.

   Simpson is taking extra care of her voice now that she is back to making
   music for the first time in 15 years.

   Her new EP, "Nashville Canyon, Pt. 1," features the track "Leave," which
   suggests her estranged husband, Eric Johnson, cheated on her.

   Simpson announced her split from the former NFL player, 45, in January
   after months of breakup speculation.

   The estranged couple share three kids: daughter Maxwell, 12, son Ace, 11,
   and daughter Birdie, 6.
