   DONALD TRUMP JR. has been dared to a boxing fight by a furious Canadian
   senator.

   Sen Patrick Brazeau is angry with the US government over huge new tariffs
   he calls "bogus".

   President Trump introduced the new measures on goods earlier this week.

   That has left Canada outraged, costing them millions of dollars.

   On Thursday night, Quebec Sen Brazeau took to social networking site X to
   challenge Trump Jr. to the fight.

   He wants to take on his cross-border rival for charity, with the money
   being raised given to cancer research.

   "Dear @DonaldJTrumpJr, I once had a boxing match with @JustinTrudeau and
   lost," said Brazeau.

   "I know, I still can't believe it myself.

   "But I no longer smoke and have been sober for almost 5 years.

   "In light of these bogus tariffs from President @realDonaldTrump from the
   US onto Canada.

   "I challenge you to a fight to raise money for cancer research or an
   organization of your choosing.

   "Our countries don't need to be at war but we can fight to raise money.

   "I'm in if you are.

   "P.S. US tariffs have nothing to do with fentanyl.

   "It has to do with our oil, freshwater, minerals, resources and our
   Arctic, just but to name a few."

   The US and Canada's relationship has been fractured in recent weeks.

   Tensions has been high over President Trump's new plans to boost the US
   economy.

   He wants more jobs and goods created in America, to help the market.

   POTUS imposed a 25 per cent tariff on goods coming from Canada and Mexico.

   The 78-year-old also put a ten per cent levy on China.

   He wants the three countries to do more to stop the amount of fentanyl
   coming over the boarder.

   Brazeau lost to Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in a boxing fight
   in 2012.

   The pair both looked in top shape for the bout, which went down a storm
   north of the border.
