Re: Freelance work

     Dominique,

Ah, yes. The best times for interviewing... I don't know what the best
times are for the person being interviewed but your 10:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M.
seems logical. I like Sunday afternoons best for a number of reasons.
First, people are surprised when you say you'll come out on a Sunday. On
weekends folks seem to be really relexed and usually in a good mood. Where
as if I try to squeeze myself into their busy work week, I can end up feeling
rushed and I don't feel I get my best interviews if I'm rushed. I also like
weekends because my husband is home to watch the kids and I can take my time.
I get home and write up the story while he is still here to keep them out of
my hair. But next year all my kids will be in school full time and this
won't be so much of a problem.
As things are now though, I'll do an interview just about any time, any
where. ;-) I need work and I need it yesterday! I sent out nine letters to
local editors this past week. I don't know how effective the letters will be
but I thought they were worth a try anyway.

          Rhia
