I always thought the same thing about Death in Paradise. > > Not quite a British show but it's usually not bad, although they > > seem to go through a lot of main characters. MP>True! The one thing that makes it different, I guess, is that it is a >tropical vacation destination so at least there are many "non-residents" >in and out vs. the other shows. Yes, with the number of murders there they'd soon run out of cast members before long.. B) MP>IIRC, it was a French-British colab. Yes, which makes sense since a lot of those places are British/French. I think they speak a bit of French in that show now and then. I get to see how much of my highschool French I still remember. Actually what's more fun is when you translate the French and realise the wording was totaly different than the sub-titles said it was.. No subtitles in that show though.. MP>I preferred the original "inspector," played by the same actor who >now plays British Professor T. Geez.. I've been watching that plus some of the old Paradise shows in repeat and it didn't even click that it was the same character.. Enough personality shift to hide the fact if you don't pay attention to the actor names. MP>The PBS network here only showed the seasons up to the first one >with his character replaced, so we've not see the other variants. I've seen pretty much all of them now, through 3 or 4 'inspectors' and watching the pretty 'dark' assistant girls come and go.. B) Ha.. That's probably not a totally P.C. way to refer to that but it reminded me of something that happened to me today. I was in a pharmacy I don't often use and I commented to the pharmacist there, who was probably from India or close by, what pharmacy I usually go to, and he informed me that it had changed hands and it was now run by <<shudder>> Egyptians!, like that was a serious warning.. Apparently you don't have to be white to be prejudiced.. --- * SLMR Rob * I said, "Installs in minutes"...
