By late August things are usually quite a bit better here compared to now --
temps are usually going back to normal early-summer temps, the days are getting
shorter, the evenings darker, and summer vacations are usually coming to an end,
with people gathering for late-night parties with their acquaintances, trying to
grab the last bits of summer before it's too late...

That's great!

Myself, I'm closing the blinds in my apartment and have an air purifier with its
air stream pointing upwards towards the ceiling, giving a nice and subtle breeze
throughout the apartment. Not too much, and not too little -- just enough to get
the feel of defeating that humidity... =)
