Hello Ray RQ> RM> That's good and fast anyways... My plan is also 'unlimited' the same, > RM> slowing after you reach your 'limit'. In the past 'Proper' Bell plans > RM> didn't offer that but it looks like they do these days for most plans. RQ>I have a friend who lives closer to downtown and he has AT&T fibre and, if me >y serves, his speeds are over 300 mbps. Fibre isn't to our neighborhood yet. >was built in late 1958 through 196?. Ours was built in 1960, a few years befo >I was born. There are not many options where I am. The Bell Boxes are so old you can forget Fibre, they were only able to handle Dial Up at half speed when I first moved here. In recent years we at least now have the option of Cell Phone Data plans and Satellite service at very high prices. My next door neighbours are only here for 3 or 4 weeks a year but they need decent Internet speeds for business purposes while here so they installed Starlink this past year and are paying about $1800 a year for service over those few weeks.. RM> employed for the past 39 years so I haven't had to worry about RM> pleasing anyone but myself as long as I was successful enough to pay RM> the bills.. RQ>Next March, I will have my commercial driver license (CDL) for 40 years. I ha >been in 47 states (except Vermont, Alaska, Hawaii). I drove transit bus in th >ate 80's near Pismo Beach for a bit. For the last 25+ years, I have been a lo > driver, and coming up on 20 years at my current job. Pretty neat. That reminds me of the song "I've been everywhere man.." B) I always expected when younger that I'd stay with whatever company I got hired by for my whole working life but something always seemed to come up to mess that up. Usually I stayed for 5 or 6 years. When I unexpectedly (unplanned?) quit my last regular job it was supposed to originally be for just 6 months, and then I extended that to 2 years but, in the end, I never did go back. I made some money from investments and worked part time at various things like Computer programming and repair in the early years and later property management and maintenance to add a bit to my income but it was a rare year I actually worked for pay for more than the equivalent of 2 or 3 weeks a year. My property is pretty big with a lot of old buildings so there was always a lot to keep me busy.. i.e.. We have shingled 7 roofs on the buildings here. --- * SLMR Rob * Computers are not intelligent.
